Job Description

As an SRE technical lead you will be leading a globally distributed team that monitors all our Production Data centres that host our sportsbook operators. Through this position you will be exposed to a modern stack of technologies, including AWS (Amazon Web Services), VMWare, Prometheus, Grafana, Ansible, Terraform, Java, Kafka, Linux, scripting languages and different flavours of databases. You will be managing priorities and managing team resources to incrementally improve site reliability and improve the performance of our sites.

We need to be a team player and will need to collaborate with other teams to gather information that help create better metrics, alerts and set configurations that will increase our reliability. We aim to provide and suggest enhancements to our core products that allow us to improve the overall platform. This role will help take your career to the next level.

If you are the right Technical Delivery Lead for us you will be able to demonstrate: 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Experience in leading a team and line management
  • Working knowledge of web services
  • Ability to learn modern technologies quickly
  • Familiarity with SRE technologies such as Prometheus and Grafana
  • Comfortable using and debugging Unix/Linux
  • Experience working with relational database technology

It would be great to have

  • Commercial experience working in SRE or in Support
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies
  • Understanding of messaging technologies
  • Expertise in infrastructure as a code and automation
