Job Description

As a Solution Consultant at SG Digital, you will have the opportunity to work in a pivotal cross-functional role, collaborating across multiple teams, roles and levels within SG Digital, In this role, you’ll act as the bridge between the commercial team and the prospective customer to sell SG Digital products through describing optimal and operation solutions in a pre-sales environment and support feasibility assessment in estimating cost implications of an opportunity. Overall, the successful candidate will work with all teams to ensure the SG Digital solution enables the customer’s business objectives, aligns with the SG Digital product vision and optimises commercials. 


  • Partner with Business Development Managers to be the main product and technical point of contact for our prospective customers 

  • Develop and deliver outstanding SG Digital product and solution presentations and demonstrations  

  • Manage SG Digital participation in customer discovery phases and in RFI & RFP processes, ensuring quality and timely delivery of required materials from contributors across SG Digital to complete and submit responses 

  • Facilitates discovery of the client's needs and propose a workable and profitable solution, inline with our product vision, and a convincing value proposition and can articulate that in presentations, RFx ('Request For' documents), proposals and technical demonstrations delivered either remotely, by recorded video or face-to-face to the client. 

  • Become a subject matter expert (SME) for multiple products and solutions, including staying up-to-date on new features and functionality 

  • Support the commercial team by providing guidance on solution design and recommended products 

  • Facilitation of customer understanding through meetings, presentations, and demonstrations throughout the sales cycle  

  • Relay key customer feedback to the global product teams to feed into roadmap 

  • Build and share industry thought leadership in the software and sports betting domains  

  • Train and handover to customer management to delivery and engagement teams  

  • Work with other consultants in across the global offices to achieve wider company goals 

  • Travel onsite to work with customers in-person as needed once COVID restrictions are lifted 

  • Become a subject matter expert (SME) for multiple products and solutions, including staying up-to-date on new features and functionality 

  • Provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams on customer needs and product opportunities 

  • Produce HLE estimates for prospective deals that can feed into the financial model for commercial feasibility assessment 

  • Create and maintain opportunity analysis and estimation tools 


Minimum qualifications 

  • Must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field 

  • Must have minimum of 5 years’ experience in software consulting, pre-sales consulting, product management, or customer success

  • Must have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills 

  • Must have technical capacity with the ability to translate technical language to customers  

  • Must have in-depth knowledge of Sports betting products and/or Gaming industry knowledge

  • Must be resilient and able to work well under pressure  

  • Once safe, the ability to travel

  • Any experience working with and analyzing commercial contracts is a plus 


This is a technical role, but you will not be coding, it is more like the technical author or solutions architect roles but with a greater commercial component. It is important that you appreciate that you are working as part of the commercial team even though the role does not require you to strike the commercial deal with the customer. All written documentation and presentations will need to demonstrate both a commercial, product and technical understanding. 

The role WILL be customer facing and will required the ability to present to all levels within a customer’s organisation from CEO down to technical staff. Confidence speaking in front of large groups in high pressure situations is essential.
