Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide support to the Insights & Commercial Manager for Gaming/Content. The role will be instrumental in forecasting/budgeting, monthly close and reporting, automation and streamlining of processes, building presentations for internal and external parties to the division, business partnering with managers and executives, reviewing and approving AP and headcount coding, and various ad hoc requests.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Supporting the Insights & Commercial Manager for Gaming/Content with budget and monthly forecasting for the division

·        Analyze ‘big data’ sets, and provide insights and reports on game and platform performance, KPI’s and significant variances

·        Support with weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting to internal and corporate stakeholders

·        Support the shared accounting center and BI teams to automate billing and reporting for Gaming

·        Assist in monthly close process, undertaking detailed variance analysis to understand variances versus forecast, budget and prior year

·        Liaise with BI and Sales teams regularly for internal reporting  

·        Partner with the business to provide advice and guidance

·        Reviewing and approving royalty statements for the group’s largest third party content providers

·        Review and forecast headcount, compensation and benefits, and other operating costs for the division

·        Advise and assist with business efficiencies in conjunction with regional and corporate management objectives

·        Support finance management and other stakeholders with special projects and requests that require financial and operational analysis

Qualifications

- Big 4 ACA/ACCA qualified with first time passes

- 2:1 degree from an accredited university

- Knowledge of the Gaming/Technology sector preferred

- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS standards preferred

- Strong analytical skills, and comfortable working with ‘big data’

- Ability to think critically and spot data anomalies, trends, or deviations - and then introduce strategies for improvement

- Commercially astute with a strong understanding of processes and systems

Additional Information

Other qualities: 

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision whilst meeting deadlines

- Qualified accountant with strong accounting/finance and FP&A skills

- Sound background in leading and managing an operational FP&A function

- Excellent skills in data analysis and presentation

- Experience with financial systems (Hyperion, HFM, ESSBASE, Hyperion Planning, Oracle, Adaptive, BI tools)

- Experience working in gaming, software, technology, IT or related industry environment

- Independent with good negotiating and communication skills

- Professional attitude towards the business
