Job Purpose

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the SG Digital Open Gaming Product Management team. You will be working alongside Product Managers, Development Managers, Programme and Project Managers, Software Architects and Software Engineers to shape the technology and product vision of the team that will drive forward our strategic product initiatives.

The Open Gaming System (OGS) is our online aggregator platform, which serves businesses in over 20 jurisdictions worldwide, in a fast-evolving commercial and regulatory environment.  We have over three thousand unique games across our platform, serving to hundreds of operators worldwide. You will be critical to ensuring there is a systematic approach to the collation of product and business requirements, documented as user stories using BDD, and embedded into all aspects of our Agile development processes.

Alongside the Product Managers, you will be expected to contribute actively to the overall product strategy and help provide peer support and review for other BAs in the team. You will be skilled in defining and documenting both functional and non-functional requirements and in converting these into Agile user stories using BDD for use by all members of the software development and testing teams.

About the work:

  • Create business requirements and define user stories for use by Scrum teams and testing teams.
  • Monitor adherence of QA testing teams to completion of user stories and review test plans to ensure that they match business requirements
  • Monitor and drive product acceptance of created solutions.
  • Engage with customers and product managers to define new functionality and document this in user stories.
  • Communicate with both business and technical colleagues and customers in an appropriate manner and using a range of techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Product Managers and Product Owners in defining product roadmaps and updating them in light of customer feature requests.
  • Contribute to the implementation of best practices in requirements documentation, use of user stories in Agile development, and test-driven development.
  • Motivating scrum teams with a business vision in order to link development to the broader product and company strategy.
  • Acting as an Agile product representative when required for scrum teams alongside Product Managers and Product Owners.
  • Supporting the Product Team in the provision of accurate documentation for use by operators, internal support, and other teams.

Qualifications

Must-haves include: 

  • 2+ years experience as a BA in an online industry.
  • Demonstrable experience of BDD.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to motivate development teams as well as driving change and handling difficult and complex technical requirements for a large programme of deliverables.
  • Demonstrable experience in defining requirements for complex IT products working in Agile environments, with a heavy emphasis on user stories and acceptance criteria through to production deployment, and with a focus on non-functional requirements.
  • Proven communication and presentation skills.
  • Dealing with change on a daily basis; must be comfortable both with external factors driving this change as well as internals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The awe factor:

  • Proven experience working with Agile methodologies, and hands-on experience of being a Business Analyst working across multiple scrum teams.
  • iGaming domain knowledge (although desirable) is not explicitly required but having extensive experience of working within a B2B platform is necessary.
